sffms to do list

This is my to do list, as of version 2.1. For a version history, see the archives. Email suggestions to the address listed in the documentation, or post them to the rec.arts.sf.composition newsgroup.

sffms class

• allow book formatting in novels by changing the underlying LaTeX class from report to book[class changed for 2.2]
• allow parts in submission mode [done for 2.2]
• change notitle to notitlepage for compatibility
• add Times option [done for 2.2]
• standardized markup for chapter inscriptions:
  • add an epigraph command and call the epigraph package for it in non-submission mode
  • add an inscription command as a quote env in both modes?
• use ellipsis package for ellipses
• allow \tableofcontents in submission mode
• provide a font environment that spans paragraphs
• pass notitlepage directly to class; remove notitle logic

sffms support

• make an sffms2rtf converter [in progress]
• LyX support [in progress]
• get sffsmart to fix single quotes [pipe dream]
• add a hyphen converter?
• fancyhdr now dist. with LaTeX?

sffms documentation

• document \disposablestring command [done for 2.2]
• document page shrinkage problems on-site
• fix minor latex issues in the examples [some done?]
• document partname and chaptername [done for 2.2]
• document how to restart chapter numbering in a new part (see qa/parts-rechapter.tex)
• document handling long titles (\protect\\ )--a consequence of MakeUppercase [done for 2.2]
• explain where the appropriate macro directory is, especially on a mac [done for 2.2]
