Pepper Steak
This is a refrigerator surprise recipe for pepper steak that was a joint effort.
Ingredients
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 T olive oil
- 1 ½ lb. minute steak, cut into strips or bites
- salt
- ground black pepper to taste
- jamaican curry to taste
- sugar snap peas or other veggies
- ½ c. red wine or cooking wine
- 2 T. minced fresh horseradish in vinegar (both optional)
Directions
- Brown the onions in the oil.
- Add the beef, brown, and add spices.
- Add the vegetables.
- Cook until the vegetables are done.
- Add the wine and cook down.
- Remove from heat and stir in horseradish.
Variants
Bell peppers are more traditional than snap peas.
