Pepper Steak

This is a refrigerator surprise recipe for pepper steak that was a joint effort.


  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 T olive oil
  • 1 ½ lb. minute steak, cut into strips or bites
  • salt
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • jamaican curry to taste
  • sugar snap peas or other veggies
  • ½ c. red wine or cooking wine
  • 2 T. minced fresh horseradish in vinegar (both optional)


  1. Brown the onions in the oil.
  2. Add the beef, brown, and add spices.
  3. Add the vegetables.
  4. Cook until the vegetables are done.
  5. Add the wine and cook down.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in horseradish.


Bell peppers are more traditional than snap peas.
