Games

I play a lot of games and I write a lot of code. The twain meet here, somewhat messily. You can find my stuff by game (Kingdom Builder/Winter Kingdom, 504, Hive) or game system (the Decktet, Icehouse pieces/pyramids), plus some more generic tools for making card games or extracting information from BoardGameGeek.

The most fun are the solitaire games you can play online (a few Decktet games and a way to play Hive in Five), but I’ve also made a bunch of randomizers: for Kingdom Builder, Hive in Five, 504, and Zoning Out, plus a general Pyramid Randomizer.

Another set of tools helps to deal with the rules of board games: I made some improvements to the standard rules generator for 504, implemented a rules summary and dice roller for the classic Decktet game Magnate, and others, including my own pyramid Decktet Zarcana-like game, Darcana.

Some things are not all that useful, but they can be fun, like my Kingdom Builder and Winter Kingdom board generators, the erstwhile 504 almanac, or my dance camp retheme of the game 10 Days in Beautiful Africa into 10 Hours in Beautiful Pinewoods.
